Anna Paquin was born in New Zealand and raised in Canada. She is a Canadian-New Zealander who has been in movies like X-Men, X-Men, and Fly Away Home. The actress had no plans to become an actress but destiny decided to change her plans. Following her success with her first film she received many offers which she declined in order to focus on studying. However, at the age of 14 her return to film by accepting roles in 'Jane Eyre' and 'Fly Away Home.' In 2000, she portrayed the powerful mutant character 'Rogue who was a character in 'XMen which was the very first film in the 'X-Men' film series and made her famous worldwide. The character remained in the 'X-Men' series in 'X-Men,' and also acting out the character in various sequels, including X2 as well as X-Men: The Last Stand. She has also played small screen roles for a variety of roles, including Elaine Goodale, in a movie titled 'Bury my Heart' at Wounded Knee. In the role she played she received nominations for her first Emmy nomination. Soon after, she was flooded with requests for appearances in TV shows. Her roles included "True Blood," "Flack as well as a host of others.
